Today’s Fairy Dusted Lesson:

What if, and just hear me out for a second, you fully trusted and believed your innermost self and decided to live it?

I am on a Quest, an inner pilgrimage of sorts.  I have no idea where it is taking me.  I have let go of the reins.  The only certainty is that I’ve become Elizabeth (healed) enough to relinquish the control and that I am capable of this.

Often in my healing, when I discover a new truth for myself, I can get annoyed.  WHY DIDN’T ANYBODY TELL ME THIS BEFORE????

The truth is, you have to discover it for yourself (the quest is being so questy) and, bitch, they did:

Traveller, there is no road,

You make your own path as you walk.

As you walk, you make your own road,

and when you look back

you see the path. – Antonio Machado

If the path is clear before you, you’re probably on someone else’s. – Carl Jung

Like it or not, the pathless way is the only way before us. – Joseph Campbell

We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us. – Joseph Campbell

The best we can do is walk step by next intuitively right step until one day, pausing to catch our breath, we turn around and gasp at a path. – Carl Jung

No one can build you the bridge on which you, and only you, must cross the river of life. – Friedrich Nietzche

It’s just that now, I’m safe enough to listen.   And so are you.

Wands, fairy dust, tools, symbols, dreams, magic, fairy tales and safe companions (on their own quests) will keep us safe and brave.  I have a feeling that the adventure will bring great healing, great stories, deeper friendship and love.  The thing I’m most excited about is the comedy that will inevitably ensue.

And unexpectedly, walking an unplanned and uncarved path, for me is the only way to heal my repetition compulsion/process addictions.
